Overview
Senior Database Administrator position at Stellar Global Solutions. The role supports database environments for OT Energy Services (Distribution, Transmission and Nuclear) and other regulated application databases. Partners with application support teams on projects of varying size and duration; provides technical expertise in data domains and data governance; enables data-driven decisions and advanced analytics with other analysts. Responsibilities
Creates and maintains databases for test, development and production environments to support the business. Analyzes, tests, and implements physical database design. Documents environment and maintains current patches. Ensures data recovery, maintenance, data integrity; performs audits of current environments and provides capacity planning. Provides technical knowledge when working with system administrators, technical managers, developers, and architects. Partner with application support teams on projects of all sizes and durations. Serve as diagnostician and solution provider for data, information and business process-related analysis. Provide expertise in integration of data, insights and trends and solution recommendations; enable data-driven decisions for the domain. Collaborate with other analysts to extract, interpret, and perform advanced analytics. Design, develop and deliver reporting solutions and provide insight to the business. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in technology, science, business or related field, or 8 years of experience equivalent to the position. Strong communication skills, effective with varying organizational levels and skill sets. Strong relationship management and collaboration skills; proven ability to work cross-organizationally to drive innovation and results. Excellent problem solving, data governance acumen, and analytical skills. Demonstrated experience with distributed computing, data visualization, data architecture and structure, statistical modeling, and predictive modeling. Experience with machine learning. Experience designing, developing and delivering reporting solutions and providing insight to business; ability to identify and recommend BI solutions to fulfill business requirements. Preferred Requirements
Strong technical knowledge of SQL Server administration for SQL Server 2014, 2016, 2017, 2019 and 2022. Strong technical knowledge of Oracle database administration for 12c, 19c and 21c. Experience with SSIS package development and implementation, and reporting services. Experience with database replication technologies (mirroring, log shipping, replication). Experience with Oracle ASM, RAC and Data Guard. Experience with Oracle and SQL Server major version upgrades. Experience with T-SQL, PL/SQL, Shell Scripting, PowerShell Scripting. Experience with Windows/SQL Server Clustering and AlwaysOn Failover Cluster. Experience with managing PostgreSQL and MySQL databases. Employment type
