Programmer Analyst 6 (Dynamics 365 Systems Architect) — Local candidates only
Location: Lansing, MI area. Hybrid schedule; no remote-only option. Onsite required from day 1 (two days a week).
Duration: 1 year with possible extension
Interviews: MS Teams video interview with camera on. 2nd round may be in-person.
Overview: The State of Michigan is looking for a Programmer Analyst 6 (Dynamics 365 Systems Architect) to provide application development/integration services supporting Michigan Department of Civil Rights (MDCR), Michigan Civil Service Commission (MCSC) and Michigan Department of Lifelong Education, Advancement, and Potential (MiLEAP). Responsibilities include design, maintenance, development, and enhancement of agency applications within the State of Michigan System Engineering Methodology (SEM). The position supports Dynamics 365 and Power Platform implementations and related deployments in a client/server and web server environment.
Responsibilities
Lead and perform project tasks such as gathering requirements, planning, analyzing, design, testing, implementation, documentation, and maintenance of Dynamics 365 and Power Platform implementations.
Provide advanced technical support for Dynamics 365 Platform.
Design, develop, test, and deploy application releases, updates, and modifications.
Collaborate with teams to ensure integration and authentication across systems; manage CI/CD and release processes for Dynamics 365 related efforts.
Prepare detailed written instructions and documentation; communicate technical information effectively to varied audiences.
Identify risks and issues from a technical perspective and resolve complex problems in a timely manner.
Qualifications
5+ years of working experience with Dynamics 365 and Power Platform implementations
5+ years of Architect experience
3+ years of Power Platform solutions (Power Automate and Power Pages)
Microsoft Azure platform experience
Azure DevOps 5+ years
Database architecture experience – 3+ years
Infrastructure/Network and Application Support – 5+ years
Ability to design and document technical architecture solutions spanning multiple platforms, including integration and authentication
Knowledge of CICD/Release Management and change processes for Dynamics 365 efforts
Strong problem solving, communication, and documentation skills
Ability to work under pressure and in a high-stress environment
