Key Responsibilities
Design and implement data ingestion, transformation, and orchestration pipelines using AWS native services (Glue, Lambda, S3, Redshift, EMR, Athena, etc.) and Microsoft Fabric components (Data Factory, Lakehouse, Dataflows, Power BI integration).
Architect and maintain Medallion (Bronze–Silver–Gold) data layers to support robust data lineage, governance, and performance optimization.
Collaborate with business and analytics teams to define data models, schema evolution strategies, and data quality frameworks.
Build and optimize Lakehouse solutions leveraging OneLake within Fabric and AWS data lakes.
Implement CI/CD pipelines for data engineering workflows using tools such as CodePipeline, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.
Develop metadata-driven ETL/ELT processes that support automation, reusability, and scalability.
Ensure compliance with data governance, security, and access control policies across multi-cloud environments.
Collaborate closely with data architects, analysts, and data scientists to enable analytics, ML, and BI use cases efficiently.
Required Skills & Experience
10+ years of overall experience in data engineering, with at least 3+ years in the AWS ecosystem.
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Fabric (Data Factory, Dataflows Gen2, Lakehouse, Power BI integration).
In-depth understanding and practical implementation experience with the Medallion architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold layers).
Expertise in Python, PySpark, SQL, and data transformation frameworks.
Solid experience with data lakehouse concepts, delta/parquet file formats, and schema evolution.
Familiarity with Databricks, Synapse, or Azure Data Lake environments is an advantage.
Strong understanding of data modeling (dimensional/star schema) and ETL/ELT orchestration.
Experience with IaC (Infrastructure as Code) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation is a plus.
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in cross-functional cloud environments.
Preferred Qualifications
Certifications: AWS Certified Data Analytics / Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Fabric Analytics Engineer Associate.
Experience integrating AWS data pipelines with Microsoft Fabric for hybrid analytics.
Familiarity with Purview, Data Governance frameworks, and Power BI Semantic Models.
