Role: Sr. Staff Software Engineer (Java Architect) Location: Dallas, TX (Hybrid – in‑office presence required)

Seeking an expert with a strong technical foundation, proven hands‑on leadership, and deep knowledge of industry best practices.

We need an experienced Sr Staff Engineer with expertise in Java, WebFlux/Reactor Core, Spring Boot, Kafka, Platform Engineering and Azure to design and develop highly scalable, low‑latency platform software solutions.

Current Technical Environment

Software: Java, Spring Boot, Gradle, GIT, Hibernate, REST API, OAuth, WebFlux/Reactor Core

Application Architecture: Scalable, resilient, event‑driven, secure multi‑tenant microservices architecture

Cloud Architecture: Microsoft Azure (ARM templates, AKS, HD Insight, Application Gateway, virtual networks, Event Hub, Azure AD)

Frameworks/Others: Kubernetes, Kafka, Platform Engineering, Elasticsearch, Spark, NoSQL, RDBMS, Spring Boot, Gradle, GIT, Ignite

What You Will Do

Architect and develop backend services using Java, Spring Boot, WebFlux/Project Reactor, Quarkus, and Reactive Programming principles.

Leverage Microsoft Azure services for building, deploying, and scaling applications – AKS, Helm, Terraform, GitHub Actions, MongoDB.

Design and develop SaaS solutions focused on multi‑tenancy, scalability, low latency, and high availability.

Design and develop distributed event‑driven systems using Kafka for event streaming and real‑time data processing.

Lead by example with hands‑on coding, code reviews, and setting high standards for quality, performance, and security.

Mentor junior and mid‑level engineers and foster a collaborative development environment.

Collaborate with Product Management, UX, and Platform Design teams to ensure seamless feature delivery.

Identify performance bottlenecks, troubleshoot complex issues, and optimize code for scalability and reliability.

Champion best practices such as TDD, CI/CD, and secure coding standards.

What We Are Looking For

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.

12+ years of software development experience focused on Java and Spring Boot microservices architecture.

Proven expertise in Reactive Programming with Spring WebFlux, Project Reactor, or Quarkus.

Strong hands‑on experience with Apache Kafka for scalable event‑driven applications.

Expertise in Microsoft Azure cloud services, including deployment of microservices and infrastructure management.

Deep understanding of microservices architecture, RESTful APIs, and scalable backend design.

Solid knowledge of relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB).

Experience with Docker and Kubernetes containerization and orchestration.

Strong problem‑solving skills with a proactive and detail‑oriented approach.

Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.

Preferred Skills

Experience with CQRS and Event Sourcing patterns.

Familiarity with DevOps practices and IaC tools such as Terraform or ARM templates.

Knowledge of GraphQL and gRPC.

Experience building highly available systems and disaster recovery planning.

Contributions to open‑source projects and active participation in tech communities.

Salary Range $129,553 – $189,615 (announced)
