DataStaff is in need of a

Senior .Net Applications Developer

for a long-term contract opportunity with one of our direct clients in the

Richmond, VA

area.

This position is hybrid; the selected candidate must work onsite several days per week.

Responsibilities

Analyzing complex software requirements to design and develop high quality components for N-tier systems.

Take a lead role within the team, ensuring that programming best practices are followed, prioritizing work effectively, addressing production issues in a timely manner, and writing system documentation when required.

Develop applications and backend services using C#, ASP.NET MVC, Web API, JavaScript, jQuery, AngularJS, Node.js and CSS.

Design and develop using appropriate software design patterns to attain high reusability and maintainability.

Write effective unit tests and integration tests to ensure high quality software delivery.

Apply in-depth knowledge of system design patterns, tiered architecture, and testing practices.

Understand key business processes and competitive strategies related to the IT function.

Plan and manage projects.

Solve complex problems by applying best practices.

Provide direction and mentor less experienced teammates.

Work with project business and system analysts to clarify requirements and implement them.

Participate in code reviews and enforce standards and best practices.

Participate in Agile SDLC.

Communicate effectively in both technical and business requirement discussions.

Required Skills

10 Years - Experience with ADO.NET and Entity Frameworks

10 Years - Experience with SQL Server Proc/Functions development and tuning

3 Years - Experience with Automated Builds using Microsoft Team Foundation Server

6 Years - Experience with Process automation and troubleshooting

3 Years - Experience with Crystal Reports, SSRS and SSIS

3 Years - Experience with Design Patterns and using MVC framework, Dependency Injection Framework

3 Years - Experience with Agile SDLC best practices

Desired Skills

3 Years - Experience developing with Azure

3 Years - Experience working on .NET/GIS projects

2 Years - Experience or working knowledge on Dynamics 365

3 Years - Experience working with Python scripting
