Network Plant Technician (ISP/OSP) Journeyman

Apply for the Network Plant Technician (ISP/OSP) Journeyman role at Oneida ESC Group (OESC) located in California. This position focuses on installation, testing, and maintenance of fiber and copper cable plants. Key Responsibilities

Implement physical fiber and copper cable plants, power connections, conduits, patch panels, and butterfly diagrams in coordination with licensed electricians. Restore facilities to pre‑install or better conditions. Participate in surveying, designing, and implementing cable plants and database diagrams. Support telecommunication projects of varying scope, and assist in the preliminary development of the SPRIP. Conduct site surveys and document current ISP/OSP configurations with Network Plan Engineers. Assist Network Plant Engineers in designing and optimizing supporting infrastructure. Perform circuit testing (voltage, amperage, continuity, safety) and adjust as needed. Follow applicable standards such as the National Electrical Code. Support deployment teams for survey, installation, testing, and QA activities. Coordinate work effort with ISP/OSP engineers and subcontractors. Maintain safe work environments and minimize project risks by resolving minor problems. Conduct system pre‑tests and acceptance tests to validate performance criteria. Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or associate degree with 5+ years of applicable experience. Basic proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), MS Teams, and SharePoint. BICSI Technician certification preferred. Secret clearance required. Compensation: $36–38 per hour plus benefits. About Oneida ESC Group
