About Rolled Products Arconic’s Rolled Products business specializes in flat-rolled aluminum products manufactured through cold and hot rolling processes. These products—coils, sheets, and plates—are essential components in a wide range of finished goods, from airframes and automotive body panels to industrial plates, heat exchangers, and beverage cans. Aluminum sheet is widely used in transportation and packaging, while aluminum plate plays a critical role in aerospace and industrial applications. The Opportunity Arconic is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our Manufacturing, Technology, and Engineering (MTE) team within the Rolled Products North America (RPNA) division. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting and leading engineering efforts related to high-voltage electrical drives and large AC/DC motors used throughout Arconic’s rolling operations. This position is part of the global MTE organization within Arconic’s Rolled Products business group, which includes multiple manufacturing facilities across domestic and international locations. The Senior Electrical Engineer will provide technical support across these sites and is expected to operate with a high level of autonomy. While the role has global responsibilities, the home base will be at one of the following locations: Davenport, IA (preferred) Alcoa, TN Lancaster, PA The position requires travel approximately 25% of the time, primarily within North America, though some international travel may be necessary. Key responsibilities
Manage major engineering projects from planning through execution. Lead and support plant-wide safety programs related to electrical systems. Oversee maintenance and troubleshooting of large motor equipment. Provide engineering support to maintenance teams, operations staff, and production engineers. Deliver continuous improvement initiatives in electrical engineering processes. Solve recurring design, process, and application problems with technical solutions. Develop and maintain documentation and training materials for maintenance and engineering teams. Plan, manage, and implement capital projects, major repairs, and maintenance activities. Offer electrical engineering support across all manufacturing and plant areas. Collaborate with the MTE group to enhance equipment reliability and process efficiency. Support automation, smart manufacturing initiatives, and standard practice implementation. Contribute to equipment troubleshooting, upgrades, and major capital project execution. Experience and professional qualifications 7+ years of electrical engineering, maintenance and reliability experience within an industrial manufacturing environment. Electrical engineering experience with large AC/DC motors, industrial high voltage and 480VAC power distribution, transformers, automation, process control systems, drives, and PLCs. Experience overseeing the activities of craft people involved in the implementation of engineered solutions and maintenance activities. Initiate and maintain ongoing dialogue with personnel to identify issues, clarify requirements, and facilitate safe work practices, PPE, clearance / lock-tag-verify procedures. Experience leading, managing and implementing electrical projects including design, installation, and commissioning. Working knowledge and experience using AutoCAD or similar CAD software Experience in estimating, justifying, managing and installing capital projects Experience designing, installing, troubleshooting and maintaining industrial electrical power and control systems and equipment, including transformers, switchgear, transmission lines, sub-stations, breakers and relays Working knowledge of electrical engineering, industry safety standards and related codes and specifications Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position. This position requires access to controlled technology, as defined in the Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. §730, et seq.) and/or the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Authorization from the relevant government agency may be required to meet export control compliance requirements.
