Position Summary: Do you have a knack for helping people, following recipes, and organization? Our prepared meal and rotisserie chicken associates prepare fresh food items daily for our members by following recipes and preparing our always warm and ready rotisserie chicken. You will wrap, label, and store merchandise to ensure our members have the freshest items available to take home. You may juggle several tasks in a short amount of time while helping members with their bakery orders. Your smile can make the difference between a good shopping experience and a great one. Ensuring high-quality products are available in our prepared foods area Ensuring shelves are clean, maintaining temperature control, verifying expiration dates, and disposing of lesser-quality food products Preparing and serving ready-to-eat food Maintaining the Sales Floor in accordance with company policies and procedures by properly handling claims and returns, zoning the area, organizing merchandise, and identifying shrink and damages Maintaining a clean, sanitized, and member-ready area What you'll do
Be a Team Member: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of product specifications related to prepared foods; collaborate with cross-functional teams; educate other associates on tools, tasks, and resources; communicate effectively with team members; be flexible to work in other areas as needed Be an Expert: Prepare food according to item specifications; plan for future and seasonal productions; adhere to food safety standards, sanitation guidelines, cold chain compliance, and inventory management; operate, maintain, and sanitize equipment Be a Techie: Use digital tools to drive sales and improve the shopping experience; use handheld technology to support production, training, and product quality with the member in mind; adapt to new tools Be an Owner: Drive area performance; manage high exposure and expectations; stock and rotate merchandise; ensure quality and date control; eliminate waste; assist customers per company policies Be a Talent Ambassador: Model high-quality service and products; demonstrate energy, commitment, and passion for the work Complies with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity; use Open Door Policy in daily operations Completes work assignments by using policies and data; collaborate with managers, co-workers, customers, and partners; identify priorities and deadlines; communicate progress; seek opportunities for improvement At Sam's Club, we offer competitive pay as well as performance-based bonus awards and other benefits.
