Overview
We’re seeking a highly technical and experienced
Technical Product Owner
to join our product team and drive initiatives focused on
Azure
and
Google Cloud Platform (GCP) . The ideal candidate has a strong background in cloud technologies and product ownership, excels at managing complex technical backlogs, and thrives in cross-functional, collaborative environments.
This individual will play a critical role in shaping the vision, strategy, and execution of a key digital initiative—working closely with engineering, infrastructure, Cloud COE, and security teams, as well as external vendors.
Key Responsibilities
Define and communicate the
product vision and roadmap
in alignment with business and technical goals.
Manage and prioritize the product backlog , ensuring requirements are clearly documented and aligned with stakeholder needs.
Collaborate with technical teams (Azure, GCP, Cloud COE, Security, Infrastructure) to translate complex requirements into actionable user stories.
Serve as the
go-to technical liaison , chasing down answers to architecture, infrastructure, and integration-related questions.
Oversee all stages of the product lifecycle—from planning and design through development and delivery.
Maintain clear and comprehensive
documentation
for product features, releases, and technical dependencies.
Partner with vendors and internal teams to ensure alignment on deliverables and timelines.
Participate in Scrum ceremonies, monitor progress, and adapt priorities as project needs evolve.
Qualifications
10+ years of relevant professional experience , ideally in product ownership or technical project leadership roles.
Hands-on experience with Azure and GCP
(required).
Strong understanding of cloud-based architecture, infrastructure, and data integration concepts.
Demonstrated ability to translate business and technical requirements into clear, actionable plans.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Experience managing vendors and cross-functional technical teams.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, especially around documentation and process management.
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
DevOps experience is not required , but a technical background is essential.
Reports to: Product Manager / Program Lead
Supports: 1 internal team + multiple external vendors
Open to: Remote candidates (on-site preferred when possible)
Timeline: Project expected to continue through the holidays (brief pause between Christmas and New Year’s)
