Senior Transportation Planner
to help streamline and optimize our ground shipment operations, ensuring our life-saving products reach customers safely, on time, and cost-effectively. Position Summary
As a
Senior Transportation Planner , you will play a vital role in managing and optimizing outbound shipments from our manufacturing and distribution centers. Using our Transportation Management System (TMS), you will plan and execute shipments, ensure carrier compliance, and maintain the highest standards of delivery performance for critical healthcare products. Your work will directly impact our ability to maintain uninterrupted supply to hospitals, clinics, and distributors, making efficiency, accuracy, and reliability essential in every shipment. Key Responsibilities
Plan and optimize LTL and TL shipments for orders, balancing delivery timelines, cost efficiency, and carrier capacity. Ensure shipments are accurately rated, scheduled, and aligned with customer needs. Monitor shipments proactively, identifying and resolving delays or exceptions to ensure on-time delivery. Track and report carrier performance, cost trends, and service metrics, driving continuous improvement. Build and maintain strong relationships with carriers, customers, and internal stakeholders. Support the maintenance of the departmental email inbox, responding to inquiries in a timely manner. Support logistics reporting and performance analysis to improve operational efficiency and service reliability. Qualifications
Minimum 3 years of experience in transportation planning, logistics coordination, or related roles, managing ground transportation. Strong knowledge of LTL and TL freight operations and carrier networks. Experience using Transportation Management Systems (TMS). Proficient in Microsoft Office. Exceptional attention to detail Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to coordinate across teams and external partners.
