Transaction Advisory Senior Manager - Financial Services (FDD) role at BDO USA. This position involves managing financial, accounting and operational due diligence engagements within the Transaction Advisory Services (TAS) practice. Job Duties
Plans and oversees the due diligence process, applying BDO standards to ensure effective and efficient delivery of quality services and products Acts as primary contact for C‑level personnel for the duration of the due diligence process Analyzes quality of earnings, working capital, financial forecasts, historical earnings, and assets and liabilities of the target client Performs industry and company research and gathers information related to the target client’s business Leads on-site and/or phone interviews with C‑level personnel to gather information in support of financial analysis Identifies risks and issues related to the transaction for incorporation into purchase agreements Proposes appropriate resolutions on critical issues related to the M&A process Leads narrative planning prior to the financial due diligence report and oversees composition of the report, highlighting key deal-related issues Manages the relationship and information flow between BDO, the client, and target company Identifies and pursues business development opportunities through industry and networking relationships Manages the development of proposal documents and conducts presentations to acquire new clients Partners with management members of BDO offices to promote TAS services to existing and prospective clients and identify cross-selling opportunities Other duties as required Supervisory Responsibilities
Schedules and supervises tasks and project assignments of TAS Senior Associates and Managers Reviews work product prepared by TAS Senior Associates and Managers and provides feedback Partners with Directors to provide performance feedback throughout the fiscal year and during annual reviews Develops TAS Senior Associates and Managers through real-time, on-the-job training Supports a collaborative, team-oriented environment while encouraging strong results and quality work Education
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or Finance, required Experience
Six (6) or more years of public accounting experience, required Three (3) or more years of TAS experience, preferred Experience interacting with C‑level personnel, preferred License/Certifications
CPA or CA, preferred Software
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), required Other Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Strong verbal and written communication skills, especially business writing Ability to interact with and adapt communication styles across all levels of management Exhibits executive presence, analytical thinking and curiosity Capable of building relationships with client personnel and leveraging networks to identify opportunities Ability to work in a demanding, deadline-driven environment, independently and in a team Ability to analyze large volumes of data to identify issues and recommend resolutions to deal structures Maintain confidentiality of information Excellent project management skills with attention to detail Strong knowledge of US GAAP Ability to travel as needed Individual salaries offered are determined after consideration of factors including qualifications, experience, skills, and geography. Location: New York, NY area. Salary range: $135,000 - $210,000. About Us
