Overview
Senior Machine Maintenance Engineer role at MOBIS North America Electrified Powertrain, LLC (MNAe). Provides leadership to the maintenance departments responsible for equipment, property, buildings, and facilities for a manufacturing plant or multiple plants. Responsible for safety and environmental practices; identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving process or maintenance issues; maintaining, repairing, and updating all production equipment systems and facilities; managing maintenance costs; and overseeing equipment performance.
Responsibilities
Manage a preventive and predictive maintenance system.
Maintain an effective preventative maintenance schedule and control mechanical inventories; promote safety and good work habits.
Collaborate cross-functionally with internal support departments and external manufacturing partners to drive project completion.
Develop a strong understanding of the manufacturing process and operating requirements.
Investigate and coordinate deviation resolutions using Root Cause Analysis tools with internal and external stakeholders.
Write or revise SOPs, batch records, technical reports, and other operational documents as needed.
Generate training material and conduct training for manufacturing staff.
Generate and manage metrics related to maintenance performance.
Coordinate equipment downtime, MTTR/MTBF, 3R5S, improvement, and attendance.
Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve process or maintenance problems; develop action plans to improve reliability and uptime.
Identify new technology for assets and assist with user requirements, procurement, and implementation as needed.
Identify and implement maintenance, safety, and environmental practices.
May perform other related duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities Yes (Maintenance Section).
Basic Qualifications The requirements below represent the knowledge, skills, and/or ability required and preferred for this position.
Required Education & Experience
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or equivalent work experience and/or education.
Minimum five years of technical experience in engineering.
Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Good knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, electrical, and mechanical systems.
Good understanding of Robotics, PLC, and VFDs.
Some knowledge of Total Productive Maintenance (TPM).
Some knowledge of AutoCAD and SAP as part of Maintenance.
Some knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to lead a team of internal experts to deliver value.
Effective stakeholder management and ability to meet deadlines.
Team player with openness to feedback and continuous improvement.
Willingness to take on additional responsibilities beyond the job description.
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
