We are actively seeking a highly experienced and accomplished Professional Electrical Engineer to contribute expertise in designing and implementing complex electrical systems.
Responsibilities
Utilize experience and technical skills to solve complex problems, ensuring compliance with industry and client standards, codes, and regulations.
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams including architecture, all engineering disciplines, project managers, and contractors.
Lead project teams, delivering comprehensive engineering design packages to diverse clients such as federal, state, and local agencies; commercial and industrial entities; and universities.
Provide engineering oversight and direction to junior engineers and designers, including leadership and training.
Support construction and commissioning activities, ensuring quality and accuracy of work and effectively communicating with project manager, design and construction teams, and clients.
Work with the electrical team across offices to enhance internal standards, conduct load flow analysis, short circuit analysis, and voltage drop calculations for optimal system configurations.
Requirements
6–10 years of experience in Electrical Engineering.
Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, architectural/electrical engineering, or electrical engineering technology from an ABET accredited institution.
Registered Professional Engineer in NC or ability to obtain through reciprocity within three months of start date.
Experience in building system design including power distribution, lighting and control systems, grounding and lightning protection, and emergency and uninterruptible power systems.
Familiarity with system modeling software (e.g., ETAP, SKM, AGI) and knowledge of sustainable design practices.
Eligibility to work in the United States and to obtain a security clearance.

Prior consulting experience
Federal government design experience
LEED accreditation is a plus
LC certification is a plus
Functional knowledge of Revit and AutoCAD is a plus
