Overview
Aspire Living & Learning is a non-profit human services agency making a meaningful difference in the lives of adults and children with autism and other disabilities. Hours: Monday–Friday 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Salary range for this position is $25-$35 hourly. Aspire Living & Learning is currently seeking a School Nurse to work in our Stamford location. Serve as the designated health professional for the school team and participate in PPT meetings as needed. Maintain accurate health records in compliance with Connecticut state requirements. Oversee compliance with state-mandated physical examinations and immunization requirements. Coordinate the administration of prescribed medications and treatments for students. Train designated staff in medication administration according to state regulations. Develop individualized health care plans for students as needed. Perform vision, hearing, and postural screenings as per state regulations. Serve as a resource for school staff regarding health care issues and disease prevention. Provide health care treatment to injured or ill students and staff. Qualifications
Certification as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). Experience working in a school setting preferred. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team. Proficiency in basic computer applications and data entry. Knowledge of Connecticut state regulations pertaining to school health services and administrative procedures is desirable. Benefits
