Job Overview Regional Memory Care Specialist – Southern California. Works closely with Community Traditions Directors and Executive Directors to maintain standards, policies, and procedures related to Memory Care. Responsible for supporting the Memory Care and Health Services programs, including regulatory compliance and adherence to Oakmont standards. Provides resident care activity programming and staffing for Memory Care services throughout the community, covering early loss through middle to late stage programs.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in recruiting and onboarding new Directors of Traditions.

Re‑train and coach Traditions Directors as directed by the Regional Memory Care Director and Executive Director.

Conduct assigned Traditions Program audits and follow up promptly.

Ensure adherence to Oakmont Traditions policies and procedures in all assigned communities.

Participate in policy and procedure development as part of a collaborative team.

Assist in new community openings, including team hiring, training, development program set up, VIP and Grand Opening participation.

Help develop Oakmont Programming standards and policies and other related projects.

Qualifications & Education

Minimum 18 years of age.

At least 2 years experience as a Traditions Director or equivalent.

At least 2 years working with persons with dementia and 1 year in a management/leadership role.

High school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred background in gerontology, psychology, social work, or 4 years experience in a residential care facility or related setting.

Must obtain RCFE Administrator Certification and meet CA DDS minimum qualifications for a dementia trainer.

Pass DOJ Criminal Background Check, maintain a clean driving record, and have reliable transportation.

Exhibit outstanding leadership, communication, budgeting, programming, scheduling, and HR skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other online applications.

Willingness to travel 100% within Southern California and ability to handle extended travel periods.
