Sr Export Compliance Officer

Sr. Export Compliance Officer will report directly to the Director of Export Compliance and will have the flexibility to work on a hybrid schedule from our Phoenix, AZ location. This role serves as a trusted partner to our Export Controls program, with a primary focus on ensuring Honeywell maintains a best-in-class compliance program in accordance with the U.S. Arms Export Control Act and International Traffic in Arms Regulations. Key responsibilities include overseeing licensing, system controls, policies and procedures, training, transactions, and audits to support robust export compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Manage Honeywell’s health checks program for approved export authorizations across Business Groups
Support export authorization post-approval requirements such as onboarding of authorization owners, training and validation of actions
Engage authorization owners and shipping/logistics organization to validate record keeping requirements for DOS hardware licenses (example: DSP-73s and 61s)
Managing OCR-EASE recordkeeping requirements for complex export authorizations
Conduct peer review of DOS export applications
Manage the Export Compliance Authorization Management SharePoint site
Provide export advice to Honeywell’s business teams – both strategic and tactical
Work with other members of Export Compliance organization and businesses to ensure export compliance requirements are published and adopted
Develop, review, update, and implement comprehensive export compliance procedures, forms, guidebooks, agreement control plans and training in support of consent agreement corrective actions
Create and report metrics and KPIs to leadership
Support export compliance investigations
Support and lead consent agreement corrective actions, including audits

Qualifications YOU MUST HAVE
Working knowledge of SAP or SAP/GTS
2 years of Export Compliance experience or 4 years of experience working for a multinational company or a U.S. defense contractor
Familiar with the U.S. Trade Regulations or U.S. Government Contracting Regulations such as Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR)
U.S. Person status as defined by the ITAR
