Job Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced MRI Technologist with ARRT(MR) certification and strong Epic documentation skills for an adult/geriatric outpatient cancer care setting.
Responsibilities MRI technologist role in a cancer care facility Patient population consists of adult and geriatric patients Imaging procedures include abdominal MRA/MRV, pelvis, MRCP, brain, head/neck, long bones, and various musculoskeletal and soft tissue scans Operate GE MRI and use Merge PACS system Epic EMR documentation is required Day shifts (3x12 hours) from 9:00 AM to 7:30 PM, with occasional half-day Saturdays as needed First-time travelers will be considered for this position 8-hour orientation provided Any solid color scrubs may be worn; scrubs are not provided Support services include interpretation, lift teams, pharmacy, radiology, rapid response, respiratory, and secretarial support Hospitalist in-house 24/7 Preferred experience includes MR aortogram, breast imaging, chest, orbits, gradient echo, MIP, MRP, radiation safety, and spinal trauma All clinical staff must have the flu vaccine or sign a flu declination form during flu season Former employees are not eligible for consideration Local candidates accepted at local rate within a 75 mile radius No restrictive rules on requesting time off
Requirements Current ARRT(MR) certification required Current BLS certification required Minimum 3 years of MRI technologist experience Proficient in Epic EMR documentation Experience with preparation and/or administration of contrast media and starting peripheral IVs Skilled in adult acute care, adult ICU, and outpatient MRI procedures covering abdomen, pelvis, brain, musculoskeletal, and vascular studies Ability to follow isolation precautions and perform advanced MR image processing License required if applicable
