Overview Provides home-based services to infants and toddlers (birth to three) with developmental delays, focusing on gross motor skills, mobility, and functional independence. Requirements include a valid NJ Physical Therapy license, a background in normal child development, and a minimum of one year experience working with young children with delays and disabilities. Maintains current knowledge of regulatory/legislative policies as they apply to the profession of Physical Therapy and adheres to same.
Responsibilities
Conduct developmental evaluations and develop/implement individualized family service plans (IFSPs).
Provide therapy in the family’s natural environments; educate and coach families; collaborate with a transdisciplinary team.
Maintain accurate and timely records of evaluations, progress, and IFSP updates, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
Qualifications
Graduate of Accredited Physical Therapy Program, current NJ State License in Physical Therapy.
CPR certification within the first 3 months of hire.
If working in EIP, valid driver’s license with no pending violations and an acceptable driving record as stipulated by SJH policy.
Certifications Effective January 2019, St. Joseph’s Health requires all employee certifications for Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) to be granted through the American Heart Association.
