Senior Accountant Consultant

Our client, a medical device company, is seeking a Senior Accountant Consultant to support their accounting operations during the implementation of a NetSuite ERP.

This position is hybrid, with expectations to be on-site at their Saratoga, CA office part of the week. This engagement is expected to last 6 months.

Responsibilities:

Perform month-end close activities, including journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations.

Maintain and update the fixed asset subledger, including capitalization, disposals, and depreciation schedules.

Support technical accounting activities, especially lease accounting (ASC 842) and revenue recognition (ASC 606).

Assist in financial reporting and preparation of supporting schedules for SEC filings and management reports.

Collaborate with the ERP implementation team to provide documentation, testing support, and data validation.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CPA candidate strongly preferred.

5–8+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally with public company or audit background.

Experience in medical device, biotech, or life sciences industries is highly desirable.

Strong understanding of US GAAP, especially lease and revenue accounting.

Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with NetSuite or similar ERP systems.
