Your Role on the Team

Position Summary: The Same Day Services registered nurse provides direct patient care, in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act, to assigned patients in the Same Day Services units. The registered nurse is a supportive, compassionate, efficient, detail-oriented team player who collaborates to maintain the plan of care for vulnerable patients.

What It Takes to be Successful

Required Qualifications:

All External Candidates must have a Bachelor of Science in Nursing

Current California RN license

Current American Heart Association BLS, ACLS and PALS certification required

Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties

Demonstrated customer service skills appropriate to the job

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System

Preferred Qualifications:

Recent acute care experience

Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms
