FCA Sports Environments Advocate The Advocate collaborates with the Director and Advisory Team to realize the FCA Vision, pursue the FCA Mission, and embody the FCA Values by executing the ministry strategy for the designated area. This role emphasizes a consistent approach to discipleship, focusing on making disciples who make disciples. The Advocate is responsible for ensuring that the FCA ministry operates according to biblical principles and complies with FCA policies and procedures. Ministerial Responsibilities This position is crucial for advancing the FCA mission and requires a commitment to serve God as an integral part of worship. Agree with and abide by FCA's Christian Community Statement. Follow a spiritual routine that includes daily prayer and Bible study to seek God's guidance for FCA. Provide spiritual guidance and leadership for staff, volunteers, coaches, and athletes through prayer, Bible study, worship, and leading by example. Engage with a local church through active participation in worship and weekly events. Exemplify biblical standards of conduct at all times in alignment with FCA's Christian beliefs. Ministry Advancement Engage, equip, and empower coaches and athletes through one-on-one interactions, Huddles, and events. Train and equip staff and volunteers to foster a culture of discipleship among coaches and athletes. Volunteer Development Oversee the recruitment, training, and development of effective and diverse volunteers to lead every coach and athlete in a growing relationship with Jesus Christ and His church. Recruit: Proactively attract and enlist highly qualified volunteers for the Sports Environments. Train: Provide necessary tools, resources, and training to enhance volunteers' skills and effectiveness. Develop: Assist volunteers in their personal and spiritual growth within their roles and responsibilities. Advisory Engagement Invite and involve an Advisory Team committed to praying, serving, and contributing. Donor Relations Connect, communicate, and care for existing and potential financial supporters to achieve full funding goals. Manage and steward finances for the assigned area effectively. Establish and implement an annual budget and funding strategy focused on growing the Home Team, major donors, and event contributions. International Engagement Collaborate with the Director to support the aligned International Region through prayer, giving, and active participation.
