Conflicts Manager
to join our
National Assurance
team for remote and in office roles.
CohnReznick is a hybrid firm; most professionals are located within a commutable distance to one of our offices. This position is considered hybrid, which means team members are expected to alternate time between both remote and office. Your Team The
Conflicts Manager
supports the National Director of Ethics and Independence (ND-Ethics and Independence) with monitoring ethics and independence compliance. Working under the direction of the ND-Ethics and Independence, the Conflicts Manager helps identify and evaluate relationships across client entities, private equity investors, portfolio companies, and internal firm personnel that may present a conflict of interest or independence concern. The role is critical to CohnReznick’s ability to comply with the AICPA Code of Professional Conduct and other applicable ethics and independence requirements, including those set by the SEC, PCAOB, DOL, GAO, IESBA and state boards of accountancy.
Your Role Responsibilities
Input, review, and/or approve the accuracy and completeness of entity information, including additions and modifications, within the Firm’s entity management applications.
Collaborate with engagement teams to obtain accurate and complete entity information.
Collaborate with engagement teams to correct inaccurate and incomplete entity information that is identified.
Monitor data integrity of the Firm’s entity management applications by completing ongoing evaluations of current entity information and researching corporate trees and affiliations.
Monitor centralized email inbox to assist with responses to engagement team inquiries regarding entity management applications.
Assist with centralized conflicts team training needs and updates to policies and procedures.
Performs or reviews corporate family tree research using public and subscription-based databases and incorporate updates as needed into conflict reports.
Supervision and review of Conflict Analysts.
Review the resolution of escalated entity data issues as appropriate.
Maintain files for entity research, communication with stakeholders, and analysis and conclusion in the Firm’s entity management applications.
Assist in maintaining and updating the Firm’s Restricted Entity Lists.
Performs other duties, projects and additional responsibilities as assigned.
Your Experience The successful candidate will have:
Minimum of 7 years of experience - ideally with a public accounting firm, but experience with a professional services firm or academic environment will also be considered
Customer relationship management and/or data management experience, with an ability to leverage technology to innovate and improve processes
Meticulous attention to detail
Excellent communications skills and ability to articulate issues, rules, objective application of facts thereto, and conclusions drawn
Strong organizational skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to preserve confidentiality and exercise discretion
Ability to work under pressure
Ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines and priorities
Preferred
Database research experience and/or experience with corporate research resources (including CapitalIQ, Hoovers/Dunn & Bradstreet and/or Bureau van Dijk)
Experience with customer relationship management applications (including Microsoft Dynamics CRM)
Experience with conflicts search and/or risk management applications (including Kingland, Elite, and/or Intapp).
