Model the YMCA core values: Caring, Honesty, Respect and Responsibility Set up and take down program space to create a child-friendly environment; move, clean, arrange furniture and equipment, and ensure the space is left organized Actively lead and engage a group of 15 to 20 children (DHS maximum is 20) in activities outlined by the Site Director, inside or outside program areas and during transition times Follow all safety standards and risk management policies to ensure the safety and well-being of participants and staff Assist in planning and implementing a quality curriculum that meets YMCA guidelines Attend all staff meetings and in-service training as required Assist in controlling and maintaining supplies and inventory on site Assist in monitoring licensing standards at the School Age site to maintain quality standards Maintain positive relationships with YMCA personnel, administration, and school staff Assist in maintaining citywide policies and procedures Assume duties as directed by the Site Director Leadership Competencies & Qualifications

CPR/First Aid/AED (Infant/Pediatric); maintain annual training requirements Work Schedule
Flexible work schedule required. Work schedules may vary by site needs. Before care is from 6:30 am until school start. After care is from school end until 6:30 pm. This is a part-time split shift position (Monday - Friday) during before and/or after school hours. Available work schedules include: before school (only) after school (only) before and after school Work Environment & Physical Demands
Climbing, sitting, reaching, crouching or crawling, standing, pushing, walking, kneeling, and stooping Exposure to electrical/mechanical mechanisms Exposure to some chemical elements Exposure to extreme weather conditions Ability to lift up to 40 pounds Noise level usually minimal to moderate Information Security & Sensitivity
Elevated security permissions (administrative) for systems storing sensitive information Access to sensitive and confidential information System activity may be subject to periodic audits Protect sensitive communications and information; violations may lead to disciplinary action including termination The YMCA of Memphis & the Mid-South is committed to safe youth programs; allegations of child abuse are taken seriously and reported to the State with full cooperation. Salary : $12.00-$14.00
