HealthWorks for Northern Virginia is a non-profit Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) serving medically underserved and uninsured populations in Northern Virginia. This role strengthens HealthWorks’ visibility, community engagement, and brand awareness. The primary focus is to develop creative and strategic communications that share HealthWorks’ impact, promote programs and events, and support fundraising and outreach initiatives. Base pay range: $50,000.00/yr - $60,000.00/yr. Actual pay will be based on skills and experience. This range is provided for informational purposes and may be adjusted by the recruiter. HealthWorks is a mandatory flu vaccine organization. Work-life notes: No weekends. Content Creation: Develop compelling content for digital and print platforms, including newsletters, press releases, website updates, social media posts, and donor or patient stories. Social Media Management: Manage and grow HealthWorks’ social media across platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X/Twitter); create engaging posts and campaigns to increase community engagement and brand awareness. Design and Branding: Produce marketing materials (brochures, flyers, event collateral, signage) ensuring consistent HealthWorks branding and messaging. Media and Public Relations: Assist in media and public relations activities to share HealthWorks’ stories and initiatives. Performance Analytics: Track and report on communications metrics and provide data-driven recommendations for improvement. Community Engagement: Represent HealthWorks at events to promote programs and build partnerships. Digital Management: Maintain website content, apply SEO best practices, and manage Google Ad Grant campaigns to drive traffic and promote services and events. Measurement: Use tools like Google Analytics and social media insights to analyze performance and strengthen outreach. Physician Outreach: Compile and maintain a list of physician practices to promote programs and partnerships. Business Outreach: Compile and maintain a list of employers in the service area and assist in presenting HealthWorks as a preferred medical provider. Events: Assist in planning and executing HealthWorks events. Qualifications

Creative thinker with excellent communication skills; passion for community health and equity. Ability to develop content for multiple channels and coordinate outreach initiatives.
