Job Description

Job Title: Nuclear Procedure Writer

Duration: 12+ Months

Location: Glen Allen, VA

What is the candidate location (local, non-local, remote?) and is there flexibility? Would prefer a local candidate but open to fully remote

Top Required Skills

1) Experience within the last 2 years writing procedures in emergency preparedness or operations for nuclear power plants

2) Must have hands on experience in the last 6-12 months of having made changes to procedures themselves in formatting software

3) Experienced and proficient in the use of FrameMaker and Documentum/DocMan/DocEM software – 2+ years' experience

4) Experienced and proficient in the Adobe, including performing mark-ups, distilling, and use of AdobeSign for routing signatures.

What soft skill requirements do you have (team fit and personality requirements)?

o Strong communication skills both verbal and written

o Self-motivated and high level of organizational skills (ability to drive reviews and procedure issues to completion)

o Ability to lead, collaborate, or work effectively in a variety of teams, including multi-disciplinary teams

Nice to Have Skills :

o PPA certification

o Experience in dual column procedures

Years of Experience:

o 3-5+ years of writing technical procedures

o 1 year of experience in writing emergency procedures

High Level Project Overview:

Supporting Corporate Emergency Preparedness procedure development for Fleet Emergency Plan License Amendment Request (LAR) changes.

Responsibilities:

o Marking up / revising procedures associated with Fleet Emergency Plan LAR changes.

Education:

Minimum of High School Diploma or Equivalency
