This is a full-time role within our food manufacturing facility that offers pathways for career advancement. Key Responsibilities: Perform daily inspections and preventive maintenance on refrigeration systems, including air conditioners, compressors, evaporators, boilers, and REM evaporative coils to ensure they operate smoothly and adhere to safety regulations. Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues with refrigeration equipment, such as ammonia compressors, CO2 systems, and freezer temperature monitors, while minimizing operational downtime. Manage parts inventory for refrigeration systems, order necessary components, and accurately document all maintenance and repairs conducted. Oversee the setup, teardown, fabrication, and installation of plant machinery, assisting with major repairs and projects related to stationary equipment and infrastructure. Strictly follow safety protocols such as Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), Confined Space regulations, Respiratory Protection, and Fall Protection, and actively engage in Hazmat training and emergency responses. Qualifications: High school diploma or GED required; a two-year degree in a specialized maintenance trade is preferred. A minimum of 3 years of experience in refrigeration maintenance with strong electrical and mechanical skills, preferably in an ammonia refrigeration environment. Capability to safely use air-purifying respirators (APR) and Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA); HAZMAT certification is preferable. Ability to obtain forklift and boiler licenses as required for job duties. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and demonstrate commitment to following all company and OSHA safety protocols.
