Overview
Senior Manager, Public Relations, Promotions & Social Media - Universal Kids Resort. Responsible for leading the strategy, development, and implementation of marketing initiatives for Universal Kids Resort (UKR) including public relations, domestic and international 3rd party promotions and social media content. Oversees the strategic direction of how UKR assets are utilized in all consumer-facing elements and ensures each program is delivered on time, on-strategy, and on budget. Oversees the implementation, creative direction and other specifics of product PR plans, content creator plans and related special events with the goal of maximizing favorable media and creator coverage. Provides key partnership alignment across Universal Destinations and Experiences (UDX) Marketing & Sales initiatives of social media campaigns and content to drive the new brand, on-site hotel, and overall social channels for Universal Kids Resort. Job Responsibilities
Oversee the overall vision, strategy, and development of global promotional campaigns. Partner with internal/external management within Marketing & Sales, Operations, Hotel Operations, and UKR Leadership for program development, partner management, brand alignment, feasibility, and to provide strategic guidance. Foster strong relationships with promotional partners to maintain a smooth workflow, provide quality service, and exceed client expectations. Develop, present, and execute detailed marketing plans and creative strategy for each promotional campaign. Direct the development and execution of clearly defined creative briefs and supervise the creative development process of promotional materials through Creative, external vendors and agencies. Create incremental marketing opportunities within existing partnerships with a focus on driving CRM data collection, social media engagement, and website visitation. Support UKR’s marketing goals by leading the strategy and implementation of public relations and content creator projects. Manage Marketing & Sales teams, partner departments, and outside agency resources to ensure execution aligns with the vision. Monitor creation of news releases and direct hands-on management of live television broadcasts, media and creator events, hosting, pitching, and activations. Track and report all media and creator coverage/activity. Develop social content strategy across networks such as Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, and more. Manage all social content planning, programming, publishing, tagging, and editorial calendar in collaboration with IMC team and marketing messaging. Drive content that supports ticket sales, hotel occupancy, brand recognition, and fan retention. Identify opportunities to integrate UKR with partner brands, manage social activations, and oversee approvals and contracts related to IP and partner agreements. Oversee direct reports to ensure work is on time, on budget, and on strategy. Foster a culture aligned with company vision, values, collaboration, and development. Share insights with UKR leadership to leverage best practices. Participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following UDX policy, procedures, training, and team involvement activities. Perform other duties as assigned. Proven experience with project management and meeting targets/objectives. Ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams in diverse cultures and drive action for collective success. Ability to motivate and persuade others and justify rationale. Experience in establishing and maintaining effective partnerships and relationships. Proficiency in brand-guided creative solutions and working within brand guidelines. Result-oriented, professional, accountable and proactive. Organized, adaptable and able to process large amounts of information quickly. Strategic and analytical thinker with strong decision-making and communication skills. Excellent management and direct communication skills (written, verbal, presentation). Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong technical and analytical skills with attention to detail and timely workflow management. Strong interpersonal skills, courtesy, tact and patience. Ability to multi-task and prioritize amidst competing demands. Experience presenting to and working with senior executives. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Photoshop. Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Public Relations, Communications, or related field is required. Experience
7+ years of experience managing or developing Marketing programs; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
