About the Role Via Logic LLC is seeking a

Senior Systems Engineer – Network Deployment

to lead the design, deployment, and optimization of complex network and compute infrastructures supporting enterprise environments. This role requires a hands‑on technical leader with expertise in network design, wireless implementations, virtualization, and infrastructure automation who can ensure reliable, secure, and scalable system delivery across diverse technology domains.

Core Responsibilities Network Deployment

Design, plan, and deploy network infrastructure including routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, WAN optimizers, power systems, encryptors, and wireless/mobile kits.

Conduct pre‑ and post‑deployment wireless site surveys and deliver wireless survey reports.

Implement and configure Wi‑Fi networks (Cisco, Meraki) and WLAN templates.

Install and configure network software (e.g., Cisco IOS/NOS, Riverbed RIOS, F5 Big‑IP) ensuring compliance with security and configuration baselines.

Coordinate with carriers and telecom providers for installation, testing, and troubleshooting during deployments.

Perform root‑cause analysis and corrective actions to resolve complex network issues.

Maintain documentation of wired and wireless network layouts.

Support the adoption of automated and orchestrated delivery methodologies.

Provide input on future network strategy, scalability planning, and related budget estimates.

Compute and Storage Deployment

Deploy and configure physical servers, hyperconverged infrastructure, virtual storage, and consolidated compute platforms.

Install and maintain hypervisors and operating systems (Linux, VMware, Ubuntu, Windows) including patching, firmware, BIOS, and compliance updates.

Implement backup, archive, and restore strategies; support enterprise backup solutions.

Configure supporting software packages including security, database, and HTTPS services.

Validate deployment configurations to ensure proper PKI/certificate compliance.

Utilize automated deployment tools for operating systems, software packages, and group policy enforcement.

Join systems to domains and manage group memberships.

Perform root‑cause analysis for complex server and storage issues, ensuring platform stability and availability.

Design, implement, and maintain multiple virtualized environments (Development, Test, Staging, Production).

Develop and maintain VM templates and automated deployment processes.

Conduct capacity and performance analysis to support resource planning.

Provide recommendations for serverless, container, and storage strategies aligned with organizational goals.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience).

10+ years of experience in network and systems engineering, with strong background in deployment and configuration of enterprise network and compute environments.

Proven experience with Cisco networking technologies (IOS, NX‑OS, Meraki, wireless).

Hands‑on experience with virtualization (VMware, Hyper‑V, or similar).

Experience with network performance monitoring, automation, and orchestration tools.

Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills across network, compute, and storage domains.

Familiarity with configuration management and software deployment tools.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to collaborate effectively with cross‑functional teams.

U.S. citizenship required for background investigation and clearance eligibility.

Preferred Qualifications

Expertise in wireless design, site survey tools, and RF analysis.

Experience with enterprise backup, recovery, and archiving solutions.

Knowledge of scripting or automation frameworks (PowerShell, Python, Ansible, etc.).

Familiarity with Agile delivery methodologies and IT service management frameworks.
