dynamic Plant Controller
to oversee all financial operations at a large-scale, high-performance production facility. This is a strategic leadership role for a hands‑on finance professional who thrives in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment and is passionate about driving operational excellence, profitability, and continuous improvement.
Position Overview
The
Plant Controller
will serve as a key business partner to the Plant Manager and executive leadership team. This role is responsible for providing strategic financial guidance, ensuring compliance with GAAP and corporate controls, managing budgets and forecasts, and leading a high‑performing finance team. The ideal candidate will have deep manufacturing experience and a proven ability to translate complex financial data into actionable business decisions.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage all plant-level financial activities, including reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
Serve as a strategic partner to operations and senior leadership, providing insights to improve plant efficiency and profitability.
Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes to ensure accurate, timely financial reporting.
Maintain strong internal controls, ensuring compliance with corporate policies, SOX requirements, and GAAP standards.
Develop and implement cost accounting systems, inventory valuation, and product cost analysis to support data-driven decision making.
Prepare variance analysis reports and drive corrective actions to optimize plant performance.
Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance and accounting team.
Support capital expenditure planning, financial modeling, and ROI analysis.
Collaborate cross-functionally with corporate finance, operations, and supply chain leaders to align strategies and achieve financial targets.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree
in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or CMA strongly preferred).
15+ years
of progressive finance experience, including at least
5 years
in a manufacturing plant controller or senior finance leadership role.
Strong understanding of
cost accounting, variance analysis, and inventory management
in a process-based manufacturing environment.
Proficient in
ERP systems
(SAP, Oracle, Syteline, or similar) and advanced
Excel
skills.
Proven ability to lead teams, implement financial controls, and influence operational outcomes.
Exceptional analytical, communication, and business partnering skills.
