Key Responsibilities
A strong technical background within Systems Engineering, medical device development, or similar.
Experience with Systems Engineering and requirements management.
Familiar with systems integration and testing, system architectural planning and design, Reliability Engineering, Project Management, and Failure Modes Effects Analysis.
Analyse existing qualification tools and systems to identify opportunities for design optimization and performance enhancement.
Hands-on experience or knowledge in LabVIEW for test automation and data acquisition.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (R&D, QA) to gather feedback and implement design improvements.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence across disciplines, for example: interdepartmental (with fellow engineers), cross-functional (with Marketing, Clinical Representatives, Software Engineers, Test Engineers, Quality Engineers, Manufacturing, Regulatory, etc.)
Modify electrical schematics, PCB layouts, and embedded systems to improve tool functionality and reliability.
Conduct root cause analysis of tool-related issues and integrate corrective actions into design revisions.
Support calibration, validation, and documentation of improved qualification tools.
Coordinate with vendors and internal teams to ensure feasibility and smooth implementation of design changes.
Maintain detailed technical documentation including updated schematics, BOMs, test protocols, and change records.
Conduct design reviews and provide technical guidance to ensure the tool improvements.
Key Qualifications Bachelors or Masters degree in
Electrical/ Electronics Engineering or a related field. Good understanding analog, digital, and power electronics hardware architectures and design Experience in design tools such as Altium, OrCAD, or similar for schematic and PCB design. 36 years of experience in tool design, test systems, or qualification equipment within a manufacturing or R&D environment. Experience with test automation, data acquisition systems, and calibration protocols. Excellent analytical, communication, and project management skills. Ability to design and debug complex electrical schematics and PCB layouts and propose clear, relevant experiments.
