About The Position Job Title: Occupational Therapist Profession: Occupational Therapist Specialty: Occupational Therapy Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 8H Days Hours per Shift: 40 hours per week Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: California license required Certifications: BLS Must-Have: - Experience in inpatient and outpatient settings - Knowledge of EMR systems - Ability to work with diverse patient populations Description: Unit includes various patient care areas with a total of 189 beds. The hospital operates an average census of 150 patients. Outpatient services are provided at a nearby location. Home health clients are also serviced as needed. Certifications required include BLS and a valid California license. The EMR system used is Cerner B, which is an upgraded version. The therapy team consists of a lead inpatient therapist, a therapy supervisor, and a director of rehab services. There are various levels of therapy staff including aides and licensed therapists. Weekend and holiday requirements vary, with flexibility in scheduling. Patients primarily include adult and geriatric populations with diverse diagnoses. Common conditions treated include orthopedic, neurological, and pulmonary complications. Hand therapy is a significant aspect of occupational therapy services.
