Overview
Position: Maintenance Associate at Sam’s Club
Base pay range: $16.00/hr - $23.00/hr. The actual pay will be based on skills and experience.
Role context: You will help shape a member’s shopping experience by providing a positive first and last impression. This role involves a high level of physical activity, being on your feet, and maintaining a clean, safe facility.
Responsibilities
Maintain safety and cleanliness of the facility by following safety standards, procedures, and guidelines; conduct safety sweeps; handle and dispose of hazardous materials properly; follow forklift procedures where applicable; report unsafe conditions to management.
Clean all areas of the facility (floors, windows, restrooms, trash receptacles) using approved chemicals, supplies, tools, and equipment in accordance with company procedures.
Ensure a safe and clean environment for Members and Associates by performing maintenance, responding to spills, operating floor scrubbers, and disposing of recyclable materials per the Environmental Sustainability Program.
Maintain appropriate levels of chemicals and supplies; rotate and store chemicals properly; place orders to replenish supplies as levels run low.
Assist with maintaining a positive attitude and customer-focused environment to support a great member experience.
What you’ll do
Maintain facility safety by following safety standards and guidelines, including proper handling of hazardous materials and adherence to company procedures.
Keep facility areas clean (floors, restrooms, trash receptacles) and use approved products and equipment.
Support environmental and sustainability programs in daily maintenance tasks.
Ensure supplies are stocked and rotated; communicate needs to relevant teams as necessary.
