Overview We are seeking a skilled and proactive
Manufacturing Engineer
to lead process development and optimization initiatives in an aluminum die casting environment. This role supports new product launches, resolves production challenges, and drives continuous improvement efforts to enhance safety, quality, productivity, and cost efficiency. The ideal candidate will thrive in a hands-on, cross-functional setting and bring a strong foundation in lean manufacturing and process engineering.
Responsibilities
Analyze and improve manufacturing methods, process flows, tooling, and equipment
Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and extract data from ERP systems to support improvement initiatives
Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for quality, scrap, and downtime issues
Participate in APQP, PPAP, and new product launch activities to ensure manufacturability and smooth production transitions
Design and specify fixturing, tooling, and layout changes to enhance workflow and product quality
Collaborate with maintenance, tooling, and production teams to resolve bottlenecks and technical challenges
Support capital equipment justification and installation, including preparation of Capital Expenditure Requests (CERs)
Monitor and report on engineering projects, downtime trends, and continuous improvement metrics
Ensure compliance with safety standards and environmental regulations
Maintain accurate work instructions and process documentation
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or related field
2–5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment (die casting or machining preferred)
Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement tools (Kaizen, 5S, Six Sigma)
Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks or AutoCAD) and Microsoft Office Suite
Ability to manage multiple projects and adapt to changing priorities
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills
Working Conditions
Work is divided between the shop floor and office environment
Occasional off-shift work may be required to support projects or resolve issues
Must adhere to safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) when on the shop floor
