Job Description We are seeking a skilled Technical Writer to create and revise complex technical documentation that supports the marketing, operation, repair, and maintenance of our products. The role involves ensuring that all documents conform to company and government standards and specifications while adhering to language usage principles. You will use state-of-the-art publishing software technology to develop product descriptions, detailed functional descriptions, operating procedures, fault isolation, maintenance and repair procedures, and illustrated parts breakdown (IPB). Responsibilities

Create and revise technical documentation using advanced publishing software. Ensure compliance with customer requirements, government specifications, and engineering standards. Utilize XML Authoring Tools such as Arbortext Epic Editor. Proficiently use MS Office Tools/Suite and Adobe Acrobat Professional PDF Software. Apply mechanical, electrical, and operator tech writer experience, preferably in the defense industry. Engage in validation and verification processes, with on-vehicle experience considered a plus. Interact directly with customers and provide exceptional customer service. Work collaboratively with a diverse team across multiple locations. Possess knowledge of Interactive Electronic Technical Manual (IETM) functionality and development processes. Familiarity with military and commercial standards is preferred. Translate complex engineering designs into understandable language for non-engineers. Ensure documentation is produced on time and within budget. Essential Skills

Proficiency in XML Authoring Tools such as Arbortext Epic Editor. Experience with Adobe Acrobat Professional PDF Software. Mechanical, electrical, and operator tech writer experience, preferably in the defense industry. Knowledge of IETM development and standards. Ability to understand and translate complex systems into clear documentation. Command of the English language and attention to detail. Additional Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in a relevant technical discipline or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Five years of relevant experience. Experience with Content Management Systems (CMS). Customer interaction and service skills. Work Environment

This role requires working with a diverse team across several physical locations. You will be involved in projects that demand attention to detail and the ability to concentrate on complex engineering designs. The position involves using advanced publishing software and engaging in direct customer interactions, with a focus on meeting deadlines and budgetary constraints. Job Type & Location
