Job Description American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist experienced with emergency and trauma imaging and current NYS DOH, ARRT (R)(CT), and BLS certifications.
Responsibilities Position is based in a 166-bed community hospital Night shift schedule from 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM Primary patient population includes approximately 75% ER, 20% inpatient, and 5% outpatient Imaging performed on GE Optima, Siemens Force, and GE Ascend (ED) CT scanners Scans include stroke, trauma, brain, abdomen, pelvis, chest, and full body trauma cases Flexibility to perform X-rays if needed Main responsibilities include conducting CT scans for emergency, trauma, and inpatient cases using advanced imaging equipment On-site opportunity provided for physician skills sign off if obtaining IV certification Team environment with occasional flexibility to assist with X-ray procedures Travelers must complete required modules on Northwell’s learning platform prior to assignment Local candidates within 60 miles are eligible at a reduced rate
Requirements Current NYS DOH Radiologic Technologist license required if applicable ARRT (R) (CT) certification required NYS IV/Injection Certification required or willingness to obtain certification by taking an IV cert course and applying to NYDOH BERT Current BLS certification through AHA Ability to provide two professional references from the past year in current discipline/specialty
