Job Description American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist with 2+ years of experience and ARRT CT certification to work swing shifts at a Level II Trauma Center.
Responsibilities Work setting is a hospital-based CT department in a Level II Trauma Center Position involves both fixed and potential mobile CT units Adult and potentially pediatric patient population Responsible for CT imaging procedures, including administration of IV contrast and assisting with complex biopsies Use of PACS and RIS for image management and documentation Shift is 3x12 hours from 5:00 PM to 5:30 AM with every other weekend required No block scheduling is offered May be required to float to a nearby sister hospital based on coverage needs Perform and document CT scans, including patient prep, exam protocol review, equipment setup, and image quality assurance Administer IV contrast using power injectors and monitor patients for adverse reactions, providing immediate care if necessary Assist radiologists with complex diagnostic procedures including biopsies Apply radiation safety principles and ensure appropriate shielding Maintain supplies and readiness of the procedure room Expected to exhibit excellent communication, teamwork, and patient-focused customer service Scrub attire required in compliance with hospital policy All job-required documentation must be completed prior to the start date RTO requests must be submitted during application; post-offer changes are subject to management approval
Requirements Active MI Radiologic Technologist license required for consideration Minimum of 2 years recent CT experience in a hospital setting BLS (AHA) certification required ARRT (R) with advanced certification in CT or CT registry-eligible High school diploma or GED equivalent required Must successfully complete pre-employment online modules on-site prior to start date COVID vaccination is mandatory as per current guidelines
