About the Role We’re seeking a hands-on
IT Director
to lead and modernize our company’s technology infrastructure. This role is ideal for a proactive leader who can manage a small IT team, oversee ERP and network operations, and strengthen the company’s security posture across systems and data environments. You’ll serve as both
strategic leader and technical expert —balancing daily operational support with long-term planning for scalability, security, and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities: Leadership & Strategy Lead, mentor, and develop a small IT team, including system administrators, help desk, and network staff. Define and execute IT strategies aligned with business goals and operational priorities. Manage technology budgets, vendor relationships, and IT purchasing. Partner with department heads to identify opportunities for automation and system improvements. ERP & Business Systems (SAP) Oversee SAP ERP system administration, configuration, and upgrades. Collaborate with business users to streamline workflows, ensure data integrity, and improve reporting capabilities. Coordinate with SAP consultants and vendors to resolve issues and implement enhancements. Ensure integration between SAP and other business systems (CRM, warehouse, finance, etc.). Network & Infrastructure Manage company-wide network infrastructure (LAN/WAN, firewalls, switches, VPNs, wireless). Oversee all server and endpoint systems to ensure uptime, reliability, and performance. Evaluate and implement improvements in system architecture and scalability. Lead projects for infrastructure upgrades, cloud migration, and system modernization. Security & Compliance Implement and maintain network and data security systems, including firewalls, backups, and user access controls. Develop cybersecurity policies and ensure compliance with best practices. Lead incident response, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning. Conduct regular system audits and vulnerability assessments.
Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience). 5+ years of progressive IT experience , including
2–4 years in a leadership role . Proven experience managing
SAP ERP systems
(implementation, customization, and support). Strong
network administration
skills (firewalls, servers, VPNs, Windows environments). Solid understanding of
IT security principles
and experience implementing layered defenses. Excellent communication, project management, and leadership skills. Experience working in
manufacturing, distribution, or industrial environments
preferred.
