Comfortable using a team approach to problem solving. Have strong sense of urgency. Individual must be a motivated self-starter with the ability to work independently. Maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a manner that gets along with customers, clients, co-workers and supervisors.
Work Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment. Preferred experience with Borescope devices and Excess Metal defect removal inside of cored metal castings. Principal Area of
Responsibility:
The Borescope Inspector finisher must be able to perform operations and operate all equipment efficiently in the optical inspection and fine rework of metal castings, defined as turbine components or castings of comparable weight and size (from approximately 5 to 75 pounds). Ability to comprehend and adhere to established safety and quality procedures and protocols. Specific Duties: Perform borescope inspection of the cores of all assigned products/castings.
Ability to identify defects and perform delicate rework using fine tools.
Execute and manage rework procedures on identified defects.
Communicate and coordinate with quality department and leadership on identified issues/trends
Perform visual inspection to ensure quality is delivered to our customers.
Pass inspection/audits in accordance with customer specifications and company procedures.
May perform other duties as specified by the supervisor.
Records on a daily basis all work performed and correct distribution of work time identifying same by operational codes. Must follow the number routing card in sequence.
Keeps the work area clean, orderly, and in safe condition, following all safety rules. Maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a manner that gets along with customers, clients, co-workers, and supervisors.
Any and all additional responsibilities as required or assigned. Physical and Mental Demands: Incumbent must physically and mentally perform the job demands as listed below.
The ability to handle high stress associated with high activity with tight deadlines.
Must be able to pass tri-annual grain/laue exam and an annual eye examination.
Flexibility to work other shifts or overlap shifts when necessary.
