Looking to combine your graphic design skills with hands‑on art direction? We’re seeking an Art Director who can operate in both worlds—guiding photoshoots from pre‑production through on‑set direction, contributing to video concepting, and delivering high‑quality design work across digital and print. This role reports directly to the Creative Director of Art Direction for Amazon Fresh. The position resides at Whole Foods Market headquarters, with a focus on both Amazon Fresh and Whole Foods Market grocery brands. In this role, you’ll develop marketing campaigns, collaborating with stakeholders across the organization to ensure both brands are consistently represented at a high level across all platforms. You’ll play a role in both the strategic ideation and the execution of high‑impact marketing assets from online to in‑store. We are a people‑first company, and big egos don’t work out here. Key job responsibilities

Lead the art direction for seasonal campaigns, overseeing creative processes from concept to final production across digital, print, and social media platforms. Organize and manage pre‑production for photoshoots, working directly with photographers, stylists, and creative talent to ensure successful outcomes. Oversee on‑set photography, both virtually and in‑person, ensuring visual consistency and creative integrity during photoshoots. Create high‑quality graphic design assets, including website banners, emails, social media graphics, print ads, store‑signage, and other brand materials. Storyboard and develop video concepts, collaborating with motion designers and video editors to translate creative ideas into compelling video content. Maintain and evolve the brand’s visual identity, ensuring all materials adhere to brand guidelines while finding new ways to push creative boundaries. Work from creative briefs to translate concepts into clear and compelling visuals. Participate in creative reviews, incorporating input from internal Creative Directors and external stakeholders and iterating on designs. About the team

Working directly under the VP of Creative and Design, we’re the imaginative force behind both Whole Foods Market and Amazon Fresh brands. Food‑obsessed and customer‑obsessed Fast‑paced and highly collaborative Focused on building brand love through marketing campaigns Multi‑disciplinary, handling everything from brand development to content & editorial to photo shoots Our work spans: Brand and product development, including packaging design and copy Marketing campaigns (in‑store and digital) and seasonal initiatives TV, video, and radio campaigns UI design challenges Food photography Strategic multi‑brand initiatives Basic Qualifications

2+ years of design experience Knowledge of Adobe Creative software, primarily Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop/Indesign at an advanced level Bachelor’s degree or 2+ years of industry experience Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, industrial design, digital communications design, visual arts, mass communications, art, or equivalent Knowledge of design principles (Typography, Composition, Scale, Color Theory, etc.) and working knowledge of how those principles work together Experience with motion (e.g., After Effects) is a big plus but not required Experience in storyboarding and developing video concepts Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. The base pay for this position ranges from $69,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $148,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
