We are seeking a motivated and dedicated Trial Attorney to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for personal injury law, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to client service. You will be responsible for handling a caseload of personal injury cases from inception through resolution, including conducting legal research, drafting pleadings, engaging in discovery, negotiating settlements, and representing clients in court.
Key Responsibilities
Manage a diverse caseload of personal injury cases.
Conduct client interviews and provide legal advice.
Draft and file legal documents, including complaints, motions, and discovery requests.
Engage in discovery, including depositions and interrogatories.
Negotiate settlements with insurance companies and opposing counsel.
Represent clients in court hearings and trials.
Collaborate with firm attorneys and support staff to provide comprehensive legal services.
Stay informed about developments in personal injury law and maintain professional competency through continuous education and training.
Qualifications
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
Admission to the New York State Bar and in good standing.
Excellent research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
Strong negotiation skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
High level of professionalism, ethics, and client service orientation.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
