12 months, with long‑term potential Key Responsibilities & Technical Requirements: Technical Expertise Deep knowledge of relational databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL, etc.) Experience with large, complex schemas (10,000 tables, many relationships) Proficiency in data modeling, ETL, and data quality tools Familiarity with data migration orchestration (Airflow, Talend, Informatica) Hands‑on scripting experience in Python and Shell Experience with various RDBMS (Postgres, Oracle, Informix) Migration Planning Analyze source & target schemas, identify dependencies, define sequencing Define rollback & recovery procedures Data Quality & Validation Implement data validation, reconciliation, audit controls Plan for data cleansing, deduplication, transformation logic Performance & Scalability Architect migration for high throughput, minimal downtime Plan for parallelization, batching, error handling Security & Compliance Ensure data privacy, masking, secure transfer Comply with regulatory & audit requirements Automation & Monitoring Design automated pipelines with monitoring & alerting Enable detailed logging & traceability Communication & Documentation Document architecture, mapping, business rules Communicate with business, DBAs, application teams Testing & Cutover Execute migration dry runs, cutover, post‑migration validation Support go‑live and subsequent phases Our client is a leading IT industry and we are currently interviewing candidates for this and other contract positions.
