Workday Integration Developer
to design, develop, and maintain complex financial integrations within the Workday architecture. This role involves cross-functional collaboration with multiple development teams to ensure seamless data integration across Workday and non-Workday systems. Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain new and existing financial integrations within the Workday ecosystem. Integrate data across both Workday and external systems while ensuring data integrity and system performance. Participate in all phases of the software development life cycle, including requirements analysis, design, testing, deployment, and post-implementation support. Conduct component and data architecture design reviews, performance monitoring, and technical evaluations. Develop detailed and comprehensive technical documentation, including design specifications, functional specifications, and integration diagrams. Support and maintain inbound and outbound Workday integrations; manage incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement fixes or enhancements as required. Assist with Workday system maintenance, version upgrades, patching, and release updates. Research, evaluate, and recommend emerging technologies, tools, and frameworks to improve integration efficiency, maintainability, and scalability. Ensure compliance with cybersecurity and data governance standards across all integration workflows. Serve as a
subject matter expert (SME)
for Workday integrations, providing guidance and technical leadership to project teams and stakeholders. Advise management on technical strategies to ensure sustainable, secure, and high-performing integration solutions. Lead and mentor junior developers through design reviews, technical coaching, and best practices. Address complex technical challenges through creative, analytical, and innovative problem-solving. Provide leadership during planning and design sessions to ensure adherence to enterprise standards and architectural integrity. May oversee team workload distribution, conduct training, and support team development. Required Skills and Experience
Experience: Level 2: Minimum 2 years of Workday integration experience Senior: Minimum 5 years of experience Lead: Minimum 8 years of experience Proven expertise with
Workday integration tools and technologies , including Workday Studio, Cloud Connect, Enterprise Interface Builder (EIB), Calculated Fields, Business Processes, Security Framework, and BIRT Reporting. Demonstrated experience in supporting, maintaining, and troubleshooting integrations between Workday and external systems. Strong proficiency in
integration technologies
such as REST, SOAP, XML, JSON, and XSLT. Excellent communication, technical documentation, and problem-solving skills. Hands-on experience with
Workday Prism Analytics
is highly preferred. Background in
financial systems
such as Treasury/Banking, Settlements and Billing, Collateral and Credit Management, or BlackLine Cash Application. Experience with any of the following technologies is a plus: Java, Oracle PL/SQL, OpenShift/Kubernetes, Docker Containers, Git, Maven, Jenkins, Ansible Tower, Splunk, Dynatrace, and Linux environments. Proven ability to optimize system performance and automate integration processes. Education
Bachelor’s degree in
Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, MIS , or a related field. Equivalent professional experience may be considered in lieu of formal education. Additional Information
