Our Los Angeles office is seeking an Accountant to join us. This is a hybrid role (3 days per week in office) and we are looking for someone at the intermediate level. Candidates must be based in the Los Angeles area for this role. Responsibilities
Performs full cycle accounting which includes accounts receivable, accounts payable and financial reporting Complete the monthly closing activities and assist in completing the year end activities Ensure all the GL accounts are properly reconciled and maintained Assist in preparation of cash flow statements monthly Analytical accounting responsibilities as well Qualifications
Postsecondary degree or diploma in accounting or a finance related discipline Accounting designation (CPA)considered preferred or the active pursuit of it is mandatory 5-7 years of accounting experience in construction, engineering, or a project- based company preferred Advanced understanding of full-cycle accounting and project forecasting and budgeting Experience in a fast-paced environment an asset Knowledge of project costing principles, recoveries, insurance, and contract/subcontract requirements as related to accounting Intermediate understanding of owner contracts as they relate to payment terms, billing requirements, audit rights, and cost-of-work definition, insurance, and bonding Exhibits strong management skills, with the ability to delegate and coordinate activities Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and experience with various accounting software Seniority level
