Senior Accountant – Englewood, CO Reporting to Controller. Employment Type: Full Time.
Radiology Imaging Associates (RIA) is a private radiology practice with over 100 radiologists serving 10 hospitals across Colorado. We also provide diagnostic services at more than 40 locations throughout Colorado and Hawaii. RIA is dedicated to delivering high‑quality, specialty‑based diagnostic imaging, image‑guided therapy, and associated medical care. We operate Invision Sally Jobe (ISJ), a network of 12 outpatient imaging centers in South Denver, offering a wide range of exams using state‑of‑the‑art equipment.

Position Summary The Senior Accountant plays a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the organization’s financial information. This position is responsible for preparing and maintaining accounting records, including the general ledger, financial statements, fixed asset schedules, and payroll accounting. The role requires a strong understanding of GAAP, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple entities and complex accounting transactions. The Senior Accountant will collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure financial compliance, streamline accounting processes, and contribute to the continuous improvement of internal controls and reporting efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Manage all aspects of accounting through financial statement preparation, fixed asset tracking, bank and balance sheet reconciliations.
Assist in month‑end and year‑end closing processes.
Record, classify, and summarize financial transactions in accordance with GAAP.
Initiate and process journal entries, accruals across various accounts and entities.
Reconcile sub‑ledgers to the general ledger and resolve discrepancies.
Put together revenue rates and post revenue for multiple entities.
Assist with putting together Shareholder Buy‑In / Buy‑Out / Deferred Comp Calculations.
Assist with intercompany transactions through journal entries and bank transfers.
Analyze financial data and prepare reports on assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax obligations, and other financial activities.
Develop and maintain accounting procedures and internal controls to ensure compliance.
Recommend process improvements based on analysis and accounting theory.
Provide financial insights and resolve accounting issues for management.
Assist with audit preparation and requested financial data.
Assist with putting together budget schedules.
Prepare annual financial statements, including notes and disclosures.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities
No direct supervisory responsibility; may provide guidance and workflow leadership to staff accountants or accounting specialists.
Qualifications
Experience in multi‑location, healthcare, or physician enterprise environments preferred.
Familiarity with Power BI or report automation tools preferred.
Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience required.
Experience with Microsoft Business Central preferred.
Detail‑oriented.
Strong communication and organizational abilities.
Capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance strongly preferred.
The salary range for this position is estimated to be between $83,000 and $110,000 annually depending upon qualifications.
In accordance with Colorado law, the range provided is Radiology Imaging Associates’ reasonable estimate of the base compensation for this role, and is based on non‑discriminatory factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities. This position will accept applications on an ongoing basis and will remain open until filled.
