Relationship Banker | Windsor at Busey Overview
The Relationship Banker role combines the duties of a teller with those of a relationship banker, offering personalized customer service, conducting financial transactions, and cross-selling products and services. The Relationship Banker is also responsible for handling complex banking tasks, such as opening new accounts and assisting with account maintenance, ensuring a seamless and comprehensive customer experience. Responsibilities
Customer Service & Relationship Building
Greet and engage customers in a friendly and professional manner, providing exceptional service to build lasting relationships. Identify customer needs and offer solutions through the bank’s products and services. Develop and maintain strong customer relationships through personalized service and proactive outreach, assisting with both routine and complex banking needs. Resolve customer concerns and issues promptly, ensuring a positive experience.
Sales & Referrals
Promote and cross-sell bank products. Assist customers in understanding various product offerings and provide tailored financial advice, referring customers to other lines of business as appropriate.
Account Management
Open and manage a variety of accounts. Assist with account maintenance tasks, such as updating account information, processing stop payments, and handling transfers. Provide assistance with and support for online banking services and digital banking tools.
Loan & Credit Processing
Refer clients with credit needs to the appropriate banker or line of business.
Transactions & Cash Handling
Process transactions with a high degree of accuracy. Balance cash drawer and ensure all transactions are correctly recorded at the end of each shift.
Compliance & Risk Management
Adhere to all bank policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements to ensure accuracy and security of transactions. Maintain confidentiality of customer information and ensure compliance with privacy regulations. Monitor for potential fraud or suspicious activity, following bank procedures to address issues.
Operational Support
Assist with branch operations and administrative tasks, including scanning, filing, organizing records, and maintaining operational reports. Support branch leadership with daily operations, including opening/closing procedures and ensuring compliance with security standards.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
Requires a High School diploma. Requires previous banking and/or sales experience. Pursuant to the SAFE Act, all Relationship Bankers (if lending) are required to maintain current registration with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System & Registry (NMLS). If such registration is not active as of the hire date, the Relationship Banker must immediately attain active registration upon employment. Relationship Bankers who fail to maintain an active and current registration may be unable to lend and may be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment. Requires knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Knowledge Of

Ability To
Accurately count money Perform duties and make decisions under frequent time pressures Stand for extended periods of time Lift 50 pounds

Salary offered is based on factors, including but not limited to, the job duties, required qualifications and relevant experience, and local market trends. The role may be eligible for bonus or incentives based on company and individual performance.
