Summary of Role :

A

Research Interviewer

is a part‑time position responsible for recruiting qualified taste testing research participants inside Chocolate World and facilitating self‑led consumer surveys.

Research studies span the Hershey portfolio of brands and product categories. The Interviewer will facilitate the collection of reliable, non‑biased data, prepare product samples for taste testing, and maintain an orderly and clean testing environment. As an integral part of a small, results‑oriented team the Research Interviewer will experience a fun, energetic work environment and interact with people from all over the world.

Must be able to work three 7.5‑hour shifts per week (9AM – 5PM), which includes at least one Saturday or Sunday shift. The schedule will be set with the manager upon hire (i.e., shifts will always be the same three days of the week and will not change from week to week).

Role Responsibilities:

Research Data Collection :

Approach and recruit qualified research participants from among Chocolate World visitors

Collect accurate taste testing data

Ensure tests are completed according to field instructions

Track daily survey totals and participant quotas set by age, gender, brand use, etc.

Represent Hershey and the legacy of our founder, Milton Hershey, in all visitor interactions

Facility Management :

Monitor and maintain sufficient inventory of supplies

Ensure a sanitary and organized research environment

Must ensure proper food hygiene (wiping surfaces after taste tests, wearing gloves during sample preparation, maintaining separation of sample types, etc.)

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Enjoy initiating contact and interacting with new people (experience working in a customer-facing, sales, or people leadership role is a plus)

Detail-oriented

Dependable

Time‑management and organization skills to manage multiple projects

Works independently under little supervision with integrity

Clear and timely digital communication with off‑site team members

Basic computer skills (experience using an iPad or iOS is preferred)

Ability to stand and walk the retail floor a minimum of 6 hours per shift

Ability to lift up to the maximum of twenty‑five (25) pounds and prepare product for testing

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements :

Experience –

2 years of college or equivalent life/work experience required
