Adjunct Instructor – Electrical (Wise County Campus)
This position is designated as a security sensitive position and requires a satisfactory criminal history background check. Males ages 18‑25 must be registered with the Selective Service System to be eligible for employment. Position Summary Adjunct instructor teaching courses within Workforce Education programs. Pay rate is dependent upon education and experience.
Qualifications
Associate degree and/or 2‑5 years work experience in the field of study; Bachelor’s degree and/or 6‑10 years work experience; Master’s degree and/or 11‑15 years; Doctorate and/or 16+ years (credentialed).
Minimum five years experience in electrical field‑service, installation, repair and a Journeyman or Master Electrician License.
Preferred: Completed a course in teaching adults or experience in teaching/training adults from diverse backgrounds; supervising electrical technicians.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Teach courses in the assigned discipline.
Maintain familiarity with and adherence to college policies and procedures.
Maintain good rapport with students.
Flexibility in schedule to teach day, evening, or weekend classes.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Ability to treat all persons with respect, dignity and justice, without discrimination based upon age, sex, race, color, religion, national origin, disability, veteran status, genetic information, sexual orientation or gender identity.
Ability to exercise professional and ethical standards in the use of college time and resources.
Observe the stated policies and procedures of the College.
