Security Officers for the Indianapolis, IN area .
All shifts and days
are available. This position offers a starting pay of
$18.50/hr
with weekly pay. Benefits:
All qualifying candidates are eligible for a 401(k) with employer match (up to 8%) that work 20 hours a week (minimum of 500 hours per year or more worked) and have completed six months of service with Sunstates Security. Requirements
Must have reliable transportation. One year of experience in security, military, or law enforcement is preferred. Excellent customer service skills. Willing and able to work holidays, weekends, and in all weather conditions. Must regularly stand or walk for extended periods of time and distance. Exceptional report writing skills. Mentally analyze a situation, solve problems, and make decisions under pressure in the area of responsibility. Able to work independently. Read and understand written instruction and communicate information and ideas in a clear and concise written form. Flex Officer Explanation
The Flex Officer position is crucial to our company’s operational and financial success. The flex officer provides trained, competent support by working shifts which become open due to illness, call-offs, weather, vacation, or other causes. This enables Sunstates to provide continual, uninterrupted service to our customers, while also protecting the health and work balance of our personnel. Scheduling Expectations
The Scheduling Parameters And Expectations For a Flex Officer Are Different From Those Of an Employee Assigned To a Fixed Post. As a Flex Officer: You will be trained at various posts and/or facilities based on operational need. This may be a non-permanent assignment. Your schedule (shifts, days off, hours per week, etc.) will vary based on operational need. You will be assigned to or offered the opportunity to accept shifts as they become available due to staffing needs. Some shifts may be scheduled in advance; sometimes you will be called with short notice to cover for someone unable to work. You are expected to work any shift you are scheduled for within your availability. If you know you will be unavailable, inform your supervisor. For short-notice call-ins, you are expected to work at least 80% of the shifts for which you are called. Refusing more than 20% of shifts may negatively impact employment status. Other duties:
A Security Officer may perform duties as specified by Post Orders and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). The officer will read and become knowledgeable of Post Orders and SOP and act quickly and efficiently according to directives. Education
