About The Banquet Houseperson Position First impressions count. To get our guests’ memorable experiences off to an unforgettable start, we’re looking for a Banquet Houseperson who can set up and break down banquet space, clean and maintain corridors, and anticipate every request to make our guests feel right at home.
A little taste of your day-to-day Every day is different, but you’ll mostly be:
Clean, store, and secure in an organized manner all tables, chairs, and audio-visual equipment, platforms/stages and other equipment used for banquet functions.
Maintain cleanliness of banquet rooms, banquet hallways, and storage and service areas.
May refresh room during breaks (replenish supplies, water pitchers, etc.).
Set-up and/or break-down tables, chairs, audio visual equipment and platforms/stages and other equipment as specified by group requirements. Set-up table linens, skirting and tabletop items (water pitchers, glasses, supplies, etc.).
May retrieve clean linen and skirting and stock in storage areas.
May pick up and deliver all boxes and materials (flip charts, easels, blackboards, etc.) for function.
What We Need From You
Communication skills - guests will need to come to you with concerns as well as compliments, so you’ll be easy to talk to
Your problem-solving skills will turn issues into opportunities, so every guest leaves with great memories
Fluency in the local language - extra language skills would be great, but not essential
Literate and tech-savvy - you’ll need a good grasp of reading, writing, basic math and computer skills

The hourly pay rate for this role is $26.27. This rate is applicable for jobs in Washington, DC. We may pay more or less than the posted rate, and the rate may be modified in the future. An employee’s pay position within the pay range will be based on various factors including education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, shift, travel requirements, metrics, and business needs.
We offer a comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, 401k, and other benefits to eligible employees.
