Responsibilities

Provide best-in-class guest service: promptly greet guests; respond to guest questions/concerns quickly, effectively, and courteously; assist guests with meeting their video gaming needs; inform guests of special promotions; recommend additional items as appropriate; apply all selling behaviors during every transaction and thank every guest for shopping at GameStop; prioritize guests over tasks and demonstrate that commitment by circulating throughout the store. Support the total shopping environment, including visual and operational elements, current sales initiatives, and the guest relationships that lead to sales and repeat business. Process guest purchases/return transactions using the POS system accurately, including giving correct changes, providing receipts, and ensuring top-notch guest service. Respond to guest comments or questions in person or on the phone; escalate issues to the Store Manager when appropriate. Promote GameStop’s guest benefits, such as the new title reservations program, trade-in program, and Pro Rewards loyalty program. Assist the Store Manager with setting guest service expectations for store associates and training staff in company/store policies and procedures. Observe associate performance, provide timely feedback, and address unsatisfactory performance as directed, ensuring alignment with guest service expectations. Provide recognition and feedback to store associates and document performance in the HR system in partnership with the Store Manager. Ensure onboarding and training are completed prior to opening/closing shifts; ensure knowledge of policies, inventory control, loss prevention, safety, and ethical responsibilities. Schedule store associates to follow guidelines, manage breaks, and maintain optimal guest service levels. Approve payroll, manage paid time off, and verify compensation accuracy. Maintain store cleanliness, organization, and merchandise presentation; ensure fixtures and equipment are in proper working order. Ensure Omni-Channel orders are fulfilled and shipped daily. Protect company assets through inventory control and loss prevention; inspect packages at close and report concerns to the Store Manager. Support the team in meeting sales, profit, and shrink goals and complete administrative duties. Manage stock: conduct inventory counts, restock merchandise, and organize products for easy access. Balance daily transaction totals and reconcile closeout paperwork; manage bank deposits as required. Verify shipments for discrepancies, conduct counts, and communicate discrepancies to management. Process defectives/recalls and stock pulls accurately with proper labeling and packing. Maintain associate and guest safety; report injuries promptly. Maintain store records and ensure manuals are up to date. Supervise and delegate tasks to Sales Associates and Retail Keyholders in the absence of the Store Manager. Adhere to GameStop policies and procedures and opening/closing procedures. Qualifications

Must provide proof of identity and eligibility to legally work in the United States. Must be at least 18 years old. High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree with emphasis in business, marketing, merchandising, or related field preferred. At least 6 months of retail management experience preferred. At least 2 years of retail sales, guest service, and/or management experience preferred. Video game knowledge preferred. Clear verbal and written communication and listening skills in English; bilingual English/Spanish preferred. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet objectives. Work independently and in a team to perform tasks timely. Meet performance expectations, including attendance, personal appearance, safety, and respectful workplace. Operate Point-of-Sale (POS) system and perform basic mathematics and alphabetizing tasks. Complete required paperwork properly and follow written, oral, or diagram instructions. Flexible schedule including extended hours, nights, weekends, and some holidays (minimum 3 days/week). Manage pressure, stay calm under stress, and be a problem solver. Reliable, trustworthy, and demonstrate good judgment. Able to work alone and stand/move for extended periods. Physical ability to bend, reach, lift up to 30 lbs, and use basic motor skills. Compensation & Benefits

Compensation: $10.75 - $14.75 Benefits: Full-time store positions at GameStop are eligible to participate in incentive programs, 401(k), paid time off, dental, vision, and health insurance; potential for bonuses or other incentives.
